for the treatment of Parkinson's disease

Crono PAR infusion pumps are used in order to treat Parkinson's disease with the active ingredient apomorphine, and feature dedicated 20, 30 and 50 ml syringes called réservoirs.

The reduced size and low weight of these infusion pumps makes them perfectly suitable for home use, allowing the patient the freedom to perform his or her daily activities during treatment.

The principle technical features of the pump are as follows:

  • the ability to select two different programming modes:
    • - one defined as FrEE, enabling the patient to choose one of the 3 available flows pre-set by the doctor during the day;
    • - the other defined as Auto, which uses a clock to manage a profile of flows pre-set by the doctor. Such flows vary automatically during the course of a 24-hour period.

The piston of the resevoir is acted on directly by the feed mechanism, enabling the pump to deliver the drug with precision.

The pump delivers shots of 20 µl at various intervals in accordance with the flow setting, thus allowing the drug to be better absorbed.

The time interval between shots decreases in proportion to the increase in the programmed flow.

CRONO PAR 4-20 is an ambulatory infusion pump, designed for the subcutaneous infusion of apomorphine in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, which uses specific 10 ml and 20 ml syringes called reservoirs. Its small size and reduced weight make CRONO PAR4 20 ideal for home use, thus giving the patient the freedom to engage in everyday activities during the treatment.

CRONO PAR4 20 features a graphical OLED display for improved user interaction which shows practical information viewable by the healthcare personnel and the patient about the settings, operation and diagnostics of the pump.
